DR.NIXON's musical journey began in the mid-90s, when techno, trance, eurodance and happy hardcore had made their way into the charts and the public. These tracks had been elaborately sampled and remixed using ROLAND TB 303 and were given new kicks and drums from the TR 909 drum machine, which gave the tracks a special acoustic flavor.With the advent of the internet, computers and databases, it was DR.NIXON's teenage years in Schaffhausen Switzerland where new music and remixes were collected and hoarded like treasures. Initially for his own curiosity, and later for other music enthusiasts, the collection grew steadily.At some point in 2005, this musical treasure happened to be helpful at parties and events, so collecting became a public interest and DR.NIXON started his DJ career with many MP3s and some vinyls. However, the selection of tracks on vinyl was much more interesting at the time and he was very taken with the feel of this technology, so for the next few years he concentrated solely on the black 12-inch medium. His mixing technique became finer, more precise and so two tracks were turned into something completely new, even if only for a short transitional period.He experimented with classic hip hop, party tunes and electro house, but his heart still beat for the electronic harder stuff, namely tech house and techno.However, as the availability of vinyl became difficult in the long term, record stores closed and the major labels switched to other more cost-efficient platforms, he also decided to make the switch from the needle to the CDJ and thus open up a wider musical selection.This also led to new contacts in Zurich, St. Gallen, Lucerne, Biel and Bern. Always with the aim of creating something special and arousing emotions in guests and listeners. After gigs at Rohstofflager (now KOMPLEX 457), OXA, Alte Börse, HILTL, Garden Club, Castello, ORIENT and other venues, they started organizing their own events. After that, he also made his own remixes, but did not release them officially, only playing them as white labels at events.To this day, he has remained true to his motto of stylishly merging musical genres and offering discerning music lovers and fans something special at every performance. Now rooted in the Basel region, both professionally and in his family, he prefers to play as an underdog and can also win over critical voices. 

In his career, he has played on the same stage with well-known acts such as Eric Prydz, TOMCRAFT, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Funkagenda, Dubfire, Thomas Gold,  Michael Woods and many more.
